Davido heading to North America with Timeless in July

Kicking off on 1 July, the tour will see him play in five cities: Washington DC, Houston, Chicago, Boston and Toronto. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

“Straight from one of the biggest shows I’ve done in years into the official announcement of the Timeless Tour,” Davido posted on social media. “The grind is timeless, the music is timeless, we are timeless… Can’t wait to see you.”

The album, which was released on 31 March, has been received with critical acclaim. It also amassed the most first-day streaming plays for an African album on Apple Music.

The 17-track offering is his first studio release since 2020’s A Better Time, and explores the idea of time through genres such as highlife, Afrobeats, dancehall and amapiano.

Davido describes the album as “an authentic body of work that remains true to my core as an artist, using my music to bring joy to my fans across the world. The songs you hear today will be just as relevant tomorrow.” He says the collection reflects his growth as an artist and his commitment to creating music that connects with people on a deeper level.
