Ghana DJ Awards announce 2018 nominees

The nominees were announced at an event that was attended by Ghanaian artists Kidi, Feli Nuna and Kuami Eugene, as well as Nigeria’s DJ Cuppy.

Widely regarded as the most respected awards for DJs in Ghana, the event was split into regional categories after complaints regarding the domination of Accra-based DJs since the inception of the awards. DJ Vyrusky promptly won the main award, Overall Best DJ of the Year, at the event last year, dethroning DJ Black who had won the topmost award four years in a row.

This year DJ Vyrusky, who works with Starr FM, is nominated seven times, the highest number for any DJ. For the top award, he would be battling DJ Black, DJ Vision, Andy Dosty and DJ Mic Smith.
