Iyanya, the Nigerian R&B singer famous for the song 'Kukere', is set to take his wares to Canada. He will be touring several cities in Canada between 25 March and 2 April.
Kicking off with a concert at Calgary, the tour ends in Montreal. In between the singer has confirmed performances in Edmonton, Winnipeg and Toronto. The forthcoming series of concerts marks the second of Canada the singer has embarked on in his career.
The first Canada tour took place three years ago, with the artist performing in Vancouver, Canada alongside several stops in the United States. At the time, he took his sophomore album Iyanya vs Desire, which contained the singles Kukere, Your Waist and Flavour, on the road.
This time the spotlight is on his 2015 album Applaudise—which produced the hit single of same title.
The tour follows news from late 2015 that at some point Iyanya and Banky W, two of the more popular R&B artists in Nigeria, will be working towards releasing an album together later in the year.
Both artists have already featured on Seyi Shay’s debut album. Both can also be heard on the Applaudise album, where they collaborate on the song ‘Baby Daddy’.
General tickets for the first show in Calgary are available online for $40. VIP tickets go for $65.
