SA: Bontle Modiselle, Robot Boii and Baba Mthethwa to host Scorpion Kings Live

Modiselle and Robot Boii will serve as the event’s official hosts, while Mthethwa will take on the role of chief commentator as DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, collectively known as the Scorpion Kings, headline the stadium show.

The event is expected to attract more than 70,000 fans and will feature entertainment, food and refreshments, merchandise and brand activations throughout the day.

Modiselle, a performer, presenter and creative professional, will help guide audiences through the event ahead of the main performance. Robot Boii, known for his work across South African music and entertainment, will join her as co-host.

Mthethwa, meanwhile, will provide commentary during the event. The broadcaster is known for his work in South African sports and entertainment, particularly his energetic delivery and use of humour and cultural references.

Scorpion Kings Live will place amapiano at the centre of a large-scale stadium production, reflecting the genre's development from a South African musical movement into a sound with an international audience.

The event is scheduled for 19 September, with DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small set to perform at FNB Stadium alongside the supporting programme.
