SA: Deezer and ‘world’s strongest DJ’ launch home workout playlist
03 Apr 2020 - 13:55
French music streaming service Deezer has teamed up with South African DJ and bodybuilder Mark Stent to launch the Home Workout playlist.
The playlist, which can be accessed here, is targeted at users who cannot go to the gym due to the national COVID-19 lockdown.
The upbeat playlist features 30 tracks including a number of songs by Stent such as ‘Make You Mine’, 'Moving Closer' and ‘Floating’ featuring Sketchy Bongo, Shona and Kyle Deutsch, as well as ‘On My Mind’ by Diplo, among others.
“It is important that we keep our minds and bodies strong while isolating at home,” Stent, who is also known as 'the world's strongest DJ, said. “Combining fitness and music has always done wonders for me. I hope my exclusive playlist on Deezer will also help music fans stay fit and mentally positive during this challenging time.”
With the playlist, Deezer continues its efforts to support South African consumers during the lockdown. The music streaming service recently launched the ‘Stay at Home’ channel, which is targeted at listeners in isolation.
Deezer also says the demand for contextual playlists such as Home Workout will continue to rise.
