Durban-based female duo SunOrnza have released a new gqom single titled ‘AmaRazo’, featuring producer and artist Goldmax.
The track, released through Afrotainment, is driven by heavy percussion and fast-paced rhythms characteristic of Durban’s gqom sound, a genre rooted in KwaZulu-Natal’s club culture. It is designed as a dance-focused release with a strong emphasis on rhythm and energy.
According to a description of the song, ‘AmaRazo’ reflects the intensity of South Africa’s club music scene and continues the evolution of gqom as a mainstream dance genre.
SunOrnza, a duo formed under Afrotainment and associated with DJ Tira, bring a female-led presence to the release, while Goldmax contributes production elements associated with his established work in the genre.
The single forms part of the group’s ongoing development since their formation in 2024, as they continue to establish themselves within South Africa’s dance music landscape.
A music video for ‘AmaRazo’ is scheduled for release on 18 June.
SunOrnza are based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and are signed to Afrotainment.
