Capital FM’s DJ Adrian recently signed a deal with Nigerian-based agency Temple Management.
DJ Adrian, who has been a DJ for more than two decades, is well known for his radio mixes on Wheelz of Steel. He has been working at Capital FM since 2001 after winning a DJ competition run by the Nairobi-based radio station. His hip hop mixes have been played across Capital FM’s programmes.
DJ Adrian inked the deal with Temple at the company’s East Africa headquarters in Nairobi on Monday.
“The reason we are interested in signing him is because he is probably the most international DJ on this continent,” Temple Management East Africa managing director Troy White said.
“We love where his head space is, his creativity and he totally fits the Temple brand and where we are going,” he said, adding that the deal is beneficial to both parties.
DJ Adrian said: “I am elated to join the Temple Management family. Their vision is in line with mine and I can’t wait for us to take over the world of music together. This is going to be mega.”
DJ Adrian is the third Kenyan to sign with the newly launched Temple Management East Africa. Earlier this month, the talent and events management agency signed Kenyan presenter and MC Shaffie Weru as well as producer Blinky Bill.
