South Africa's Ndlovu Youth Choir has paid tribute to Jonny Clegg by performing a rendition of his hit song 'Asimbonanga'.
Clegg passed away in Johannesburg on Tuesday night after losing his battle with pancreatic cancer.
'Asimbonanga' is among Clegg’s many songs that attest to an incredible career of almost five decades.
“We pay tribute to the legend Johnny Clegg with his song ‘Asimbonanga’,” Ndlovu Youth Choir captioned the video, which was posted on Facebook.
Hailing from Limpopo province, Ndlovu Youth Choir has been making a name for its spirited performances and celebration of South African culture through music.
The group received a standing ovation after unleashing a stirring performance on America's Got Talent in June, where the four judges – Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union and Howie Mandel – unanimously gave the choir a thumbs up.
This week, Ndlovu Youth Choir also performed a rendition of Shakira's 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem 'Waka Waka', which has now taken the group to the live rounds of the competition.
