Mayowa Afolabi is a touring musician, recording and performing artist, music educator, vocalist and electric bass player from Nigeria, who started out his music journey as a percussionist and drummer in his home church at the time
Being a growth a growth enthusiast, his zeal and drive to learn the art and it's business led him to Span Academy of Jazz and Contemporary Music to learn under the watchful eyes and tutelage of Bass Meastro and Veteran Musician and Music Educator Bright Gain
Mayowa has been privileged to work with or as a sideman/backing musician for quite a no of music giants in Nigeria like Adeyemi Bamike(Oba), Nikki Laoye,Bright Gain to mention a few as well as up and coming music artistes and he recently came back from the nation of Kigali, Rwanda to perform at the Ubumuntu Arts Festival with Adeyemi Bamike Oba
He's by God's grace looking at performing and touring with one of his strongest musical influences and mentor, Richard Bona and many more musical giants in Africa and beyond very soon
