Ghana’s Emerging Music Awards 2022: All the winners

The scheme celebrates deserving up-and-coming musicians across Ghana’s major genres. This year’s edition ran under the theme Give the Music a Chance, and saw awards being presented in 30 categories.

Singer Vanilla was awarded the coveted Artist of the Year prize, taking over from Black Sherif who won the award in 2021. He also took home the trophy for Songwriter of the Year for his effort on ‘Prayer’. Other big winners on the night were Ganyo Dread, JZyNO and Jay Baba who took home two awards each.
