R&B collective Both Worlds targets SA market

The group comprises songwriter and composer Prof T, producer Sparks45, and vocalists Acquillah K and Gary. It is the first act signed to Prof T Records, a label founded by Prof T.

Love Games I explores different stages of romantic relationships, from attraction and intimacy to conflict and separation. Its tracklist includes ‘Love Games’, ‘Fancy Things (Why)’, ‘Ghost Me (Why Did You Go Away)’ and ‘In My Arms’.

“South Africa has always had a deep relationship with Soul and R&B,” the group said. “We want to introduce the project to people who understand that music can be more than something you listen to. It can hold memories, relationships and experiences.”

The group’s planned activities in South Africa include engagement with local media, radio stations, music platforms and audiences as it works to build its profile in the market.

Prof T Records was established to release music rooted in soul, groove and musicianship. Both Worlds is the label’s first signing and forms part of its plans to develop a collective of artists.

The South African campaign follows the release of Love Games I and focuses on introducing the group and its music to local listeners.
