3Music Awards 2021: All the winners

Now in its fourth year, the 3Media Networks-organised awards scheme honours outstanding musical achievements in Ghana and across Africa.

KiDi also walked away with three other awards, including Song of the Year, Afrobeats/Afropop Song of the Year and the newly introduced EP of the Year. Dancehall singer Stonebwoy and gospel musician Diana Hamilton followed closely with three awards apiece. Stonebwoy won in the Highlife Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Viral Song of the Year categories, while Diana Hamilton scooped the gongs for Gospel Act of the Year, Gospel Song of the Year and Best Female Vocal Performance.

Elsewhere, Amaarae received the Video of the Year Award for ‘Fancy’, while Nigeria’s Davido won his second African Act of the Year Award.

This year’s main ceremony was preceded by the 3Music Women’s Brunch on International Women’s Day, which recognised outstanding women in Ghanaian music. The brunch also saw the presentation of the first batch of trophies for this year’s 3Music Awards, namely Emerging Woman of the Year, Most Streamed Female Artist of the Year, Music Woman of the Year as well as a number honorary awards.

The 2021 3Music Awards was hosted by broadcasters Jay Foley and Naa Ashorkor, with performances from Santrofi, Gyakie, Medikal, Joey B, Diana Hamilton and highlife legend Nana Acheampong, among others.
