Gambian reggae dancehall singer ENC launched his compilation effort entitled AllBomb on December 12 at Brikama Jokor, a club outside of capital Banjul.
“It's a compilation," he said in an interview, because "I twisted the word Album to AllBomb, (meaning every song on the project is a bomb).”
Speaking further he added: “I don't want to do albums. I released two mixtapes, entitled Triple Action. It comprises of 25 tracks. I also released Girls Segment, which had 17 tracks. The new compilation this year [theAllBomb] has 25 tracks.”
Born in 1988, ENC took to music in 2005, releasing his first official single in 2006. In 2010, ENC began a radio show called Back Stage Show, which was the Gambia's only dancehall program on radio. Two years ago ENC's music took a new turn, after he announced a project that would see him releasing a song every two weeks. At the time he said, "I have been doing a lot of party and girls songs couple of years back and lately I did a full mixtape [Girls Segment]. This year, I'm going back to the ghetto and connect me and my ghetto people."
His new project AllBomb he says has received international exposure. “I was featured on “Soccalyoso riddim,” “Nice again riddim,” “One step riddim” “Nice up riddim” in Jamaica,” he explained. He then urged Gambians to support their own talents so that the industry can develop to its maximum to benefit all stakeholders.
