Rwandan hip hop group makes a comeback

The four of the five rappers are Jay Polly, Green Pare, Bull Dogg and Green P are fell out three years ago following accusations that the lead member Jay Polly had grown distant from the rest of the members after scooping Rwf24m in a talent search competition the same year. Rapper P Fla is not be apart of the reunion.

One of the members Polly told a local newspaper “We sat down and realized that our relationship is much bigger than whatever may tempt to separate us. We had a lengthy discussion and decided to reunite to make great music together since we are all mature enough to manage any situation.”

“We are now focused on our next projects and are looking more determined to achieve a lot than ever since each and every one has got to be more mature. We are now working as a team and feel like brothers again,” he said.

According to him the song ‘For Someone’ is a message to their audience that they are back. It is the beginning of the group’s new album which they plan to launch in January 2018.

The group which was formed in 2009 has promised to reclaim their top postion in Rwandas hip hop industry which is has been dominated by Riderman and Ama G Black .

The group’s biggest hits were ‘Kwicuma’, ‘Gereza’, ‘Wiyitiki’ and ‘Turi Hano’. Prior to falling out, the hip hop group had released several hits such as, among others. It remains to be seen if the group will pick up from where it left off.
