World Airplay Radio Monitor partners with artist discovery platform
Danish company World Airplay Radio Monitor (WARM) this week partnered with A&R Worldwide on a deal that will see the monitoring platform track music across six continents.
WARM is a digital service that allows users to track songs in real-time globally. The company provides detailed radio airplay data to users, including artists, managers, labels, publishers and PR and booking agencies, allowing subscribers to optimise marketing and promotional strategies, improve royalty collection and plan touring, in addition to other activities.
The reciprocal partnership will see A&R Worldwide provide WARM with access to emerging new artists and their releases before they become “mainstream radio hits”, while WARM will provide A&R Worldwide with data of trending artists who are unsigned or unpublished in local, regional and national territories.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with A&R Worldwide,” WARM CEO Jesper Skibsby said. “Their unprecedented track record and drive to discover and develop talent in the global music industry builds up to our goal of democratising and bringing transparency to this field.”
The president and founder of A&R Worldwide, Sat Bisla, said: “WARM is an amazing technology that allows broader transparency and accuracy in collecting real-time airplay data for artists and songs that would otherwise not be validated and monetised. The ability to source local, regional and global airplay data for both established and yet-to-be-discovered artists is essential for the artists, industry and fans alike.”
WARM monitors more than 28 000 radio stations globally and uses audio fingerprinting and music recognition technology to deliver its data.
A&R Worldwide is a global artist discovery and development platform that consults musicians, executives, brands, government trade organisations and technology platforms. Through the platform’s radio and audio relationships, the company provided the first airplay on US radio and registered monitoring data for previously unsigned artists including Adele, Frank Turner, Mia Rodriguez, Calvin Harris and Corinne Bailey Rae, among many others.
