Bio
Suwaibou Bondi, best known by his stage name Artenola, is a Gambian rap and Afro-Manding artist. He was inspired by music at a tender age. He released his first single entitled ‘Mbe Nyo Kono’ in 2009. In 2010, he released his second single called ‘Chasing Dream’. The song received airplay on both local TV and radio stations. He has over the years produced thrilling melodious songs, ranging from ndaga to hip-hop and Afro-manding varieties.
He is one of country’s emerging spectacular stars who continue to win the hearts and minds of many music fans in the country. In 2012, he was featured in the ‘All Starz Rhythm’ project which featured some of Gambia’s top Gambian artists.
In 2013, he was given a scholarship by MandingMorry Academy of Music (MAM) and Foundation of Performing Art (MANFOPA) to study music theory and practical. In 2014, he released a ten-track debut album entitled ‘Dem Beeh Jeh’. The album was produced by State of Mic studio and Pack studio. Some of the popular songs which feature on the project ‘I Can’t Wait Nothing at All’, ‘Yama Morm’, ‘Wuli Yeku Keh’ (Get up and do something) and ‘Beautiful Stars’.
In 2015, he released singles such as ‘Be Molu Deebetale’, ‘Man of The Year’ featuring Jizzle with a video clip. As of March 2016, he was working on his second album.
