Davido concludes global 5IVE ALIVE tour after 10-month run
20 May 2026 - 12:34
Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has concluded his global 5IVE ALIVE Tour, a series of concerts staged in support of his fifth studio album, 5IVE.
The 42-date tour began on 11 July 2025 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood and ended with two shows in Conakry on 9 May 2026. The tour included performances across four continents, with stops in North America, Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
Concerts were held in cities including Atlanta, Brooklyn, Boston, Philadelphia and Toronto in North America; Barcelona, Brussels, Copenhagen and Vienna in Europe; and Dubai, Jeddah and Riyadh in the Middle East.
Across Africa, the tour included performances in Abidjan, Dar es Salaam, Kigali and Lusaka, as well as several cities in Nigeria including Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Enugu, Uyo and Yola.
The Nigerian leg of the tour, which organisers described as the artist’s first nationwide tour in the country, reportedly sold more than 100 000 tickets within three weeks.
During the tour, Davido also performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2026. He was the only Afrobeats act on that year’s line-up.
One of the concerts in Atlanta coincided with Davido Day, a civic recognition established by Atlanta mayor Andre Dickens in 2023 to acknowledge the musician’s cultural influence.
The tour supported 5IVE, a 17-track album that blends Afrobeats with R&B, reggaeton and dancehall influences. The project features collaborations with artists including Chris Brown, Victoria Monét, Omah Lay, Becky G, Shenseea and Odumodublvck.
Upon its release, 5IVE reached number one on Apple Music charts in 21 countries and recorded 9.3 million streams in a single day on Spotify in Nigeria, according to figures shared by the artist’s team.
The tour ran for approximately 10 months and formed part of Davido’s ongoing international touring schedule as Afrobeats continues to expand its global audience.
