Listen to Stonebwoy’s Gidigba single

Produced by Phantom, who is popular for his work with Nigerian popstar Tekno, ‘Gidigba’ is Stonebwoy’s second single of 2022 after the release of ‘Theraphy’ in early May.

The record, oozing a steady groove and confidence, discusses hypocrisy among men and the importance of remaining resolute in the face of adversity.

Among Ghana’s leading musicians in the past decade, Stonebwoy’s sound is characterised by an innovative fusion of Afropop, dancehall and reggae.

On 3 September, Stonebwoy headlined the seventh edition of the Ashaiman to the World Festival, which forms part of the musician’s vision to spotlight undiscovered local talent while celebrating the community he hails from.

It followed Stonebwoy’s summer festival tour in support of ‘Therapy’, which saw him visit eight cities across Europe and North America between 24 June and 13 August.

This week, Stonebwoy was announced as a headliner of Afrochella Festival 2022 alongside Nigeria’s Burna Boy. The event, which celebrates African culture and showcases works by emerging creatives, artists and entrepreneurs across the continent, is slated for 28 and 29 December in Accra, Ghana.
