SA: The Source Collective announces Afro Tech line-up for October event

The line-up spans Afro House, Afro Tech, Deep House and melodic electronic music, bringing together established and emerging artists from South Africa's electronic music scene.

Culoe De Song, a DJ, producer and musician, is known for his deep and emotive approach to Afro House, while the Gumz x Pansula collaboration combines the production of DJ Gumz with live percussion by Pansula.

Chronical Deep, a DJ, producer and composer, has built a profile through his work in the Deep House and Afro House scenes. Da Africa Deep’s sound incorporates intricate percussion, hypnotic rhythms and atmospheric melodies.

The line-up also includes ISIKO, an electronic music duo whose sound combines Afro house, Afro tech and melodic electronica, and KGzoo, a producer working across Afro House and Afro deep house.

The event is planned around a combination of music, visual production, lighting and storytelling, with organisers describing the format as an immersive audio-visual experience rather than a conventional sequence of DJ sets.

The Source Collective will use customised audio-visual elements alongside each artist's performance, with the production designed to develop throughout the event and create connections between the music, visuals and audience.

The event brings together music, storytelling, production design and community as part of an effort to explore different approaches to presenting live electronic music.
