Pasgenik taught her how to beatbox and gave her her first Canibus mixtape whose content thrust her into the warm bosom of underground hip-hop. Her first performances ever were courtesy of The Nowadays poetry sessions held at the Bat Center, followed by Inqaba hip-hop sessions held at the same venue every Thursday night and at the Bling Free All Elements Battles held at Albert Park.

She has shared the stage with many prolific acts, including Raheem Kemet, Lex La Foy, Liquid KZN, Zakwe, Zuluboy, PKuttah and Optical Illusion.
