The organisers of the Dakar Music Expo are accepting applications for its 2022 edition, which will take place in the Senegalese capital from 3 to 6 February.
The annual pan-African event is the brainchild of promoter and artistic director Doudou Sarr and is sponsored by legendary musicians Youssou N’Dour and Angélique Kidjo.
The festival invites guests to “discover Dakar and its musical roots” through a series of concerts, panels discussions, presentations and masterclasses, among other activities. It also serves as a networking forum for musicians, producers and other industry players.
This year's edition will run under the theme, Celebrate Music, and will feature a digital programme presented in a hybrid format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
