BIO
Nviiri the Storyteller, whose real name is Nviiri Sande, is a Kenyan singer-songwriter and guitarist recognized for his poetic lyricism and soulful Afro-pop sound. Originally from Kisii, Kenya, he blends Afro-pop with folk, R&B, and contemporary African influences, creating emotionally resonant music centred on storytelling, which fits his stage name.
He gained prominence after signing with Sol Generation Records, a label founded by members of the band Sauti Sol. His breakthrough came with hits like "Pombe Sigara" and "Overdose," which highlighted his smooth vocals, reflective writing style, and strong melodic sensibility.
Nviiri’s debut album, "Kitenge" (2022), further solidified his status as one of Kenya’s most compelling new-generation artists. His music often delves into themes of love, vulnerability, growth, and everyday life, expressed through rich lyrics in both Swahili and English.
