The album is led by the focus track ‘Emvalelweni’ and remains rooted in maskandi while incorporating broader musical influences. According to information released alongside the project, the songs draw on Ntuli’s personal experiences and address issues including resilience, identity, gratitude and legacy.
Inhlanhla Nomnotho follows Ntuli’s earlier releases, which helped establish his profile within South Africa's music industry. The new album marks his second full-length project and continues his collaboration with Inkabi Records.
The release positions ‘Emvalelweni’ as the album’s lead single, with the record presenting narratives inspired by everyday experiences and traditional maskandi storytelling.
Ntuli is known for music centred on emotional honesty and cultural identity, with his work frequently reflecting themes of faith, love and lived experience. His latest album continues this approach while signalling a new phase in his career.
According to his team, Inhlanhla Nomnotho represents an artistic progression for the singer-songwriter, balancing his established maskandi sound with contemporary influences aimed at reaching a wider African audience.
