VerseOne Distribution partners with ACRCloud to fight music piracy
VerseOne Distribution in the US has partnered with ACRCloud to fight music piracy and counterfeit song releases.
ACRCloud is an automatic content recognition platform based on acoustic fingerprinting technology that allows users to upload their content and ingest live feeds for audio identification and broadcast monitoring.
It also enables clients to offer direct links to their users and to play or purchase tracks instantly in their respective music services.
“We believe that this development will help us improve music delivery efficiency and significantly reduce instances of potential future Digital Millennium Copyright Act takedowns,” VerseOne Distribution says.
ACRCloud is already being used by digital music platforms such as TuneCore, Audiomack, RouteNote, Anghami and Deezer, among others.
“This will give access to ACRCloud’s Advanced Acoustic Fingerprint Algorithm and allows all newly uploaded music on VerseOne Distribution to be extracted, compared to ACRCloud’s database of more than 100 million pieces of copyrighted music on YouTube, Spotify, Deezer, identified using title, UPC and ISRC codes for copyright infringement risk.”
