South African musician and producer BandaBanda has announced the release of his forthcoming album Zinza, scheduled to drop on 12 June 2025.
The project, described as a powerful homage to musical heritage, blends timeless influences with fresh, boundary-pushing sounds.
“My aim with this album is to honour those who came before us,” BandaBand said. “It’s crucial to recognise the craftsmanship and dedication of past artists. Quality and longevity in music matter, and we must take care to preserve that legacy for future generations.”
The album draws on BandaBanda’s years of artistic exploration and collaboration with musical legends, resulting in a sonically rich body of work that traverses genres and generations. It features contributions from rising stars and veteran performers, offering a diverse yet cohesive listening experience.
According to the press release, each track is crafted to represent a unique journey through sound, highlighting the artist’s dedication to artistic integrity and musical excellence. The project is not only a personal statement but also a broader movement calling for renewed appreciation of musical heritage in today’s fast-paced industry.
To mark the occasion, BandaBanda will host an exclusive listening session on 22 May 2025, giving fans and fellow musicians an opportunity to hear the album ahead of release and participate in discussions on the importance of preserving quality in music.
