BIO
Maneh Music is a Johannesburg-based musical artist, multi-instrumentalist, professional bass player, composer, director, producer, arranger, sound engineer, vocals coach, and Founder of *Afro Classic Studios PTY LTD*. Since 2015, Maneh Music has captivated audiences across South African townships, cities, and festivals with a unique blend of world music, Afro Soul, Reggae, Symphonic Gospel, Neo-Soul, electronic, pop, and folk. The sound is rooted in live instrumental mastery — especially five-string bass — layered with rich African vocals and modern production. At its core: love, resilience, and connection. Born in Orange Farm and Lawley, Gauteng, Phazimane "Maneh Music" Semela grew up surrounded by Maskandi, Afro Jazz, Kalimba, Afro Pop, Latin and electronic beats. He found music in the 7th grade, playing acoustic bass and busking in trains. Self-taught in production and sound engineering, he honed his craft with 3sixty Live Jazz Band, Divine Breed, FreeQue, MindCraft, Soul Luu, and artists like Shef And The Kitchen, and award-winning Reign Africa. In 2018 he launched Maneh Music and Afro Classic Studios — a home for diverse sound and artist development. The catalog is prolific: *At The Groove Site (2026)* with _A Better Day_ and _Embrace_ feat. Lethukuthula Mazibuko, *Pleasure*, *Deep (Romantic Edition)*, *The Other Side (Deluxe Edition)*, *Waves of Love* series, *Forever Yours*, *Beautiful Nkosazana*, *Rhythm Of Union*, and more. Singles include _Unyathela Ngabantwana_, _Uthandiwe_, _Journey Long_ feat. Dr Thulz, _Over And Over Again_ feat. Bonginkosi Sibanyoni. Maneh Music has performed at MaCufe, Netflix Gala, Festival of Lights, jazz lounges, and private events. Beyond music, the project partners with Serenity NPO to support music education, women empowerment, GBV awareness, and entrepreneurship in marginalized communities. *Booking Options:* DJ set, 3-piece, 4-piece, or 7/8-piece band.
