Base in Lagos Nigeria
Charles Chinonso Dunu, professionally known as Bixonlake, is a Nigerian rapper, producer, and creative entrepreneur. Born on November 5, 1996, in Abia State, and originally from Anambra State, he has built a career defined by resilience, versatility, and a strong sense of community.
Bixonlake began his musical journey in 2011 as one half of a duo with his childhood friend Ugochukwu Ikemba, known as Big Bully. Together they recorded their first song, "Cash Money Runs VIB." The duo parted ways in 2012, and Bixonlake set out on his own path.
In 2013, he released his debut solo single, "Take Care," which earned local recognition on the streets of Aba, Abia State. Driven by ambition, he relocated to Lagos in 2016, where he released "The Other Side of Life." In Lagos he also expanded his craft, learning to produce beats and master records.
Bixonlake connected with underground artists including Geerose, Severino, Sky D, Cent Lorry, and Paco Velli, and together they founded PMC, a creative brand as much as a record group. His path later crossed with Bashiru Muhammad, known as Bashizzy, and the two launched the Ledge Music Community, a platform for emerging talent.
Today, Bixonlake continues to grow as an artist, producer, and community builder, pushing to leave his mark on the Nigerian music scene.
A few things I assumed, so please check them: I treated "The Other Side of Life" as a release title, and I dropped the phrase "steel check and find my way" because it wasn't clear. If you tell me what it meant, I can work it in. I also wrote "producer" based on you learning beat making and mastering, so change that if you'd rather not use it.
