Shaun Mistro
Bio
Shaun Machele, also known as Shaun Mistro, is a self-taught DJ, producer, and vocalist from Meadowlands, Soweto. His musical journey began in 2009 as a rapper, but he later transitioned into music production, creating his own beats using FruityLoops. The influence of soulful house music is heard in the Private School Amapiano sound he produces.
Throughout his career, Shaun Mistro has collaborated with several artists, including RGee SA, Haze46, Zay SA, and Kaylo. His talent and skills have earned him an invitation to Kalawa Jazmee Studios for a recording session.
In April 2024, Shaun Mistro released his debut EP, titled SHUKELA. Leading with "Njalo," Shaun opens up his first studio offering on a prayerful note together with Thebz RSA and seasoned vocalist Hassan Mangete, who also stars in "Lemini" alongside Sabelo Ncala and Vee Sithole. Mistro teams up with longtime collaborators Nanka Zalet and Haze 46 on "Ungangishintsheli". Be sure to listen to "Inhliziyo" featuring RGeeSA with Nanka Zalet, another special appearance.
