Call for submissions: Namibian music museum
The Museums Association of Namibia (MAN) is calling on musicians and members of the public to identify and submit material that will be included in a soon-to-be-launched museum of music in Windhoek. The project, which was launched with the aid of the European Union last week, requires material such as instruments, recordings, photos and music narratives.
Other material that will be displayed at the museum are objects or any kind of information related to Namibian music.
Titled Museum Development as a Tool for Strengthening Cultural Rights in Namibia, the programme was designed to preserve music and other cultural heritages in the country.

The call is open to everyone and the deadline for submissions is 31 January 2018.
Design wanted
MAN is also running a competition inviting anyone who can design a unique logo that reflects Namibian music. The winner will be awarded N$2 200 ($160) and the deadline is 31 January 2018.
Requirements:
- The competition is open to everyone.
- Competitors should design a logo that speaks to the uniqueness and rich heritage of Namibian music.
- The logo should be in high resolution and must have a watermark in both JPEG and PNG format.
- Logos should be sent via email to museums@iway.na
