Nigerian singer Rema has released a new single, ‘Oh No’, following his first solo release of the year, ‘Tea’.
Rema.
Produced by Rvssian, the track combines elements of kompa, reggaeton, dancehall and Afropop. Its lyrics explore the excitement of romantic attraction, with the song centred on infatuation and flirtation.
‘Oh No’ is accompanied by a music video filmed on the streets of Los Angeles, which is scheduled for release tomorrow. The visual follows Rema through colourful urban settings, including scenes of the singer shopping for flowers for a love interest.
The release comes as Rema prepares a new project focused on dance-oriented music. He has described his current musical direction as one centred on creative freedom and enjoyment.
The 26-year-old has been active on several collaborations in 2026. He appeared on Don Toliver’s ‘Secondhand’ and later collaborated with Skillibeng on ‘Ballerina’.
Rema also joined LISA and Anitta on ‘Goals’, the official song for the FIFA World Cup. The trio performed the track during the tournament’s opening ceremony in Los Angeles in June.
‘Oh No’ follows Rema’s continued international success, which was driven in part by his 2022 single ‘Calm Down’. The song, which later received a remix featuring Selena Gomez, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 58 weeks at the top of the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart.
Rema’s debut album, Rave & Roses, has also surpassed two billion streams on Spotify, while the singer performed his first sold-out stadium show at London’s O2 Arena in 2023.
