Nigeria's Mayorkun to tour North America
Nigerian singer Mayorkun will embark on a tour of North America from 28 September to 30 October.
The tour will see the Afropop artist hit the stage in venues across the US and Canada, including Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York City, Houston, Atlanta and Los Angeles, among others.

“USA & Canada! September 2022, we are fully outside! I’m bringing the heat and all the hits,” Mayorkun said.
On the road, Mayorkun will be promoting his sophomore LP Back In Office which was released last year with 'Holy Father' as its focus track. The LP has racked up millions of streams and spent 13 weeks on the UK Afrobeats chart. He will be performing songs from his catalogue, including his 2020 Geng EP that guests Nigeria’s MI and YCee, Kwesi Arthur (Ghana), Riky Rick (South Africa), Rayvanny (Tanzania) and Innoss B (DRC).

The tour has been named The Mayor of Lagos after his 2018 debut album by the same name which peaked at number 15 on the Billboard World Albums chart.

Meanwhile, fellow Nigerian artist Omah Lay will be taking his Boy Alone album on the road in North America starting 7 September. Aṣa and Flavour are also due on the road in the US this September.
