Geoffrey Ekongot

BIO

Geoffrey Ekongot is a creative professional with 18 years of experience in the music industry, creative communication, live streaming, multimedia, graphic design, and web development within a diverse range of businesses.

He is a conceptual thinker with a firm grasp of creative technologies. He has served as a talent and artist relations consultant for the global music television channel MTV base, co-founder and former chairman of the Uganda Hip-hop Foundation and has served as a talent consultant for British Council Uganda. He currently serves as the Executive Director at Uganda Musicians Association.

The Uganda Musicians Association is a leading organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the interests of musicians in Uganda. With a membership of over 4,000 Musicians spread across Uganda, it aims to foster a vibrant and sustainable music industry while advocating for the rights and well-being of musicians across the country. We take pride in nurturing the rich musical heritage of Uganda, promoting artistic excellence, and creating a supportive community where musicians can thrive. UMA serves as a conduit for growth, empowering artists with valuable resources, educational opportunities, and access to a wide network of professionals who share a common love for music.
