Magasco inks deal with Orange Cameroon

Magasco will be the face of the network operator and digital service provider’s ‘Save Ya Moni’ campaign, which offers affordable call and data plans, and mobile money transfer benefits, among others.

“This partnership will leverage the versatility and legacy of both Orange Cameroon and Magasco as he represents, identifies with and cares for the great regions of the North-West and South-West, solidifying the promise of Orange Cameroon,” a statement said.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity,” Magasco said, confirming the arrangement at the weekend. “Stay tuned for amazing offers for the North-West and South-West Regions.”

Magasco first came into the limelight in 2000 as a member of the rap trio T-Drops. His solo career, which commenced in 2009 following the group’s disbandment, witnessed a streak of successful singles, including ‘Line Loba’ (2012), ‘ Kumba Market’ (2013), ‘Fine Boy’ (2014) and ‘No Man no Wowo’ (2015).

In 2015, he released his debut EP Raw Gold. His maiden full-length album Golden Boy was released in 2017. He currently runs BBOY Records, an independent imprint on which his latest album Heart was released in 2019.

A French telecoms giant, Orange is currently the 10th largest mobile network operator globally, with operations in 26 countries and key interests in African football (the company is currently the main sponsor of the Africa Cup of Nations), banking, music and events.
