CALLMECHANDA

CALLMECHANDA is a DJ, model, voiceover artist and University of London Law School alumnus from Lusaka, Zambia.

She began learning to mix music in late 2022, a hobby which stemmed from her interest in and passion for music. Her first live performance was in September 2023, during a showcase for a female DJ residency programme she participated in, which was organised by Modzi Arts, a non-governmental multidisciplinary contemporary art and cultural organisation in her hometown of Lusaka, Zambia. The week-long "Rackless Kazi" residency gave emerging female DJs from Southern Africa the chance to be mentored by leading femme DJs in the region such as South Africa's Mamthug and Zambia's Ms Selfie.
