Karen (real name Chileya Kandongo) is arguably one of Zambia’s finest gospel artists to emerge out of the country. She has always been an inspiring minister of the gospel that she is intended to be. She burst on the Christian music with some defining gem of an album titled ‘Enough’ where she staggered and castigated the devil and his elements.

The album contains songs such as ‘Azayankha’, ‘Ni Lesa Fye’, ‘Muzimu Oyera’, ‘Set Boundaries’, ‘Umubili Tautasha’ and ‘Ngafweni Lesa’. In 2014, she launched a good news album titled ‘'Another Level’. The nine-track album consists of songs like ‘Dance’, ‘Na My Choice’, ‘Ziibaleko’, ‘Kunkala na Yesu’, ‘Another Level’, ‘Nitanda Wapi’, ‘Won’t Stop Me’, ‘Thank You’ and ‘Nimulungu’.

In 2014, she was nominated at the Zambia Music Awards (ZMA) in the Best Female Gospel Artiste category where she beat artists such as Racheal and Suwilanji. Karen has also implored the Intellectual Property Unit in the Zambia Police Service to continue with the fight against piracy.
