NEGZASTICKS

BIO

I’m Uwayo Jean Robert, professionally known as NEGZASTICKS — a Rwandan Music Producer, Mixing & Mastering Engineer, DJ, Songwriter, Music Business Executive, and the CEO & Founder of Anotherwave Inc.

Born and raised in Rwanda and now based in Kigali, I have built my journey around music creation, sound engineering, DJ culture, and the development of Africa’s next generation of music talent. I started creating beats at a young age, experimenting with rhythms and sounds before developing into a full-time producer, audio engineer, and DJ.

My sound is driven by Afro rhythms and modern electronic energy, with a strong interest in Afro Electronic, Afro House, Afro-R&B, 3Step, EDM, and other forward-thinking African sounds. I focus on creating music that is not only creative but also clean, powerful, emotional, dynamic, and ready for professional release.

As a Mixing & Mastering Engineer, I help artists turn raw recordings into polished, balanced, punchy, and industry-ready records. My approach combines technical precision with musicality — making sure vocals sit properly, drums hit with impact, low-end stays controlled, melodies remain clear, and the final master translates well across headphones, speakers, clubs, cars, and streaming platforms.

As a Music Producer, I work from the early idea to the final record — including beat making, arrangement, sound selection, sound design, vocal processing, mixing, and mastering. I enjoy working closely with artists to understand their vision and transform that vision into a sound that feels authentic to them.

As a DJ, I’m known for high-energy performances, clean transitions, strong crowd control, and creating a complete experience rather than simply playing songs. My DJ style connects Afro sounds with electronic energy and is built around reading the room, controlling the energy, and keeping people engaged.

Beyond the studio and the DJ booth, I’m also a Music Business Executive and the CEO & Founder of Anotherwave Inc., a creative music company focused on building opportunities within the African music ecosystem. Through Anotherwave Inc., my vision is to contribute to a stronger, more professional and globally connected African music industry through music production, artist development, music business, and creative partnerships.

I’ve also worked across different sides of the music process, including production, mixing, mastering, DJ performance, artist development, and music business strategy. One of my strengths is being able to understand both the creative and technical sides of a project — allowing me to approach music not only as an engineer, but as a producer who understands the bigger picture.

My goal with every project is simple: understand the artist’s vision, protect the emotion of the record, improve the sound, and deliver a final product that the artist can confidently release.

Whether you need a professional mix, mastering, full music production, beat production, vocal processing, sound design, or a creative production partner who can help develop your record from idea to release, I’m ready to work.

Let’s turn your idea into a record that sounds professional, feels authentic, and stands out.
