Growing up in a household filled with singers and church choirs in Ratanda-Heidelberg, Tumelo "JTtheVoice" Tshabalala has been immersed in the world of writing and singing for as long as he can remember. It's no surprise that he finds himself on stage and traveling the world today.
With a distinctive style of writing and singing, JTtheVoice sparks conversations and connects with his fans through his music. Since 2012, he has graced stages both in and outside of South Africa, proving that with dedication and hard work, anything is achievable. JTtheVoice describes his work as a reflection of his upbringing, sharing the experiences and challenges of growing up in a small township where dreams can become reality. His music embodies themes of hope and change, inspired by the beauty and depth of how people interpret and connect with music.
Despite the challenges, JTtheVoice has found success over the years and has given back to his community through vocal training and music business seminars, empowering aspiring musicians to brand and showcase their talents to the world.
In 2017, after performing on some of the biggest stages of his career, JTtheVoice entered the studio to work on his debut album, "THOPI," a tribute to his late mother. This ten-track album, recorded live and co-produced by himself, showcases his growth and artistry. In December 2018, he released a four-song EP titled "EXODUS," sharing that both projects hold personal significance and represent colorful and vibrant chapters of his journey. As JTtheVoice aptly puts it, "God is Good all the Time, and all the time God is Good."
