Call for submissions: Vans Musicians Wanted competition

The competition is part of the brand’s global introductory programme, which seeks to unearth undiscovered musicians. It will launch globally to artists from the US, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, Europe, South Africa and the Asia Pacific.

The winner will also get a feature in Vans' Spotify audio ads and a customised Fender guitar. Additionally, the top five finalists will get global distribution for a year, opportunities for Spotify and Apple Music playlisting and Vans products, among others.

The competition will feature guest judges like JID, Bohan Phoenix, Tierney Stout, Nilüfer Yany and Anderson .Paak as part of the selection process. They will choose five musicians who will perform on a virtual stage this December. One grand-prize winner will then be selected as the opening act for Anderson .Paak in 2021.

Who is eligible?

• Musicians from all genres in the relevant regions can apply.

How to apply

• Entrants should submit the song that best represents them. Albums or playlists are not permitted.
• The song must be in a YouTube or SoundCloud link format.
• The track submitted should be an original music creation.
• Studio or live version of the song of good quality are both fine.
• Participants can enter here.
