BIO
Daruler is a Zimbabwe female Zimbabwean dancehall artist, popularly known as Mambokadzi (Shona for Queen). She is part of a group of artists from Dangerzone, a Zimbabwean dancehall nickname for Dzivarasekwa suburb. She sings with the HKD group of artists which is led by Freeman. She attended her primary education at Marlborough Primary School between 2001 and 2007. She later enrolled at St Eric's High School in Norton in the 2008. She transferred to Dzivarasekwa 2 High School.
Her music career began in 2010 when she joined group called King Sound Crew while in high school. She left the group in 2011 when it moved to Mozambique to pursue music in that country. After finishing high school, Daruler began to pursue music with Sunshine Studios. There she met Lady Squanda who asked engaged her to do backing vocals on her song ‘Rudo’. She was eventually introduced to Freeman who gave her advice and mentorship.
Daruler became popular with songs such as ‘Mangoma Hatimire’, ‘Pemberera Life’, ‘Ndakanyarara’, ‘Chingosvika’, ‘Mambokadzi Ndini’, ‘Love Haina Chigangster’ and many others.
