Elijah Kitaka

Elijah Kitaka is a fast-rising, multi-talented Ugandan musician, singer, and drummer, recognised for his distinctive fusion of music and fashion. He is signed to the prominent Ugandan label Swangz Avenue.

Raised in a musical family, Kitaka began playing the drums at the age of seven in his local church, laying the foundation for a lifelong career in music. He went on to establish himself as a highly sought-after session drummer, performing and touring for over a decade with leading Ugandan artists, including Bebe Cool, Maurice Kirya, A Pass, Lilian Mbabazi, and Azawi.

He broke into the mainstream with his hit single Dawa, which achieved widespread acclaim and amassed over 1.6 million views on YouTube within two months of its release.

Kitaka’s sound is characterised by smooth melodies layered with Afro-fusion and pop elements, reflecting a strong sense of artistic freedom and creative identity.
