BIO
Peasant, a formidable five-piece band hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, is known for their ferocious sound, seamlessly blending influences from d-beat punk, crust, Swedish death metal, hardcore, and more. The band has left its mark on the stage, having shared it with notable acts such as Comeback Kid (US), Slander (ITA), Ashes (BEL), and participating in various South African Tours, including one with grindcore giants Magrudergrind (US) and Dillinger Escape Plan favourites God Mother (SWE).
With a musical journey marked by five successful EPs and an eagerly anticipated debut LP titled "Unrest Eternal," set for release on Roastin' Records, Peasant has solidified its presence in the industry. The band's achievements extend beyond their home country, as they embarked on their inaugural EU tour in August 2019, joining forces with Swedish fastcore band Prescriptiondeath.
The LP, Unrest Eternal, is a testament to Peasant's dedication to their craft, recorded by James Pereira at Mountwave Studios, mixed by Richard Staub, and mastered by Brad Boatright of Audiosiege. The lineup comprises Adri Jordaan on vocals, Pieter Jordaan and Immanuel Bester on guitars, Keagan Van Rooyen on bass, and Graham Pitout on drums.
