BIO
Ron Minor aka Wandile Khoza, is a talent that wears many hats. His skills include being a singer-songwriter, producer, PR practitioner, and Digital Marketer. The name Ron Minor was inspired by Wandile’s father, Ronnie Khoza. Having been told that he resembles his father and attaching a musical term to his stage name, Ron Minor came into existence. He decided to pursue his love of music at 17 in 2009. At that stage of his life, he picked up his father's guitar (very out of tune) and did his best to learn to play the instrument so that he could accompany himself. Since then he has learned to play the guitar and piano. He was trained as a Jazz vocalist at TUT Arts Campus and aims to grow further in his musical journey.
Ron Minor was a part of the Idols season 11 (2015) cast until theatre week in Sun City (Top 48). Since his elimination, Ron Minor has been an independent artist, growing into his own by sharing his music and working with his peers. Ron Minor has released his debut EP, Minor Thoughts, and is available for streaming on SoundCloud and other streaming platforms and, available for download on Bandcamp.
