BIO
Two Sik is an artist and producer from Zimbabwe whose keen interest in music developed at a tender age. His musical tastes where self-taught since he used to just sit and listen to cassettes and radio every time he got the chance.
He wrote his first rhymes at the age 12 while preparing for a talent show at his then primary school. The success of his rhymes prompted him to keep on writing music. In high school he got his first taste of the production side when he was introduced to a well-known producer called Kit. Since then, he’s been making beats and perfecting his production style and his raps as well. He used to perform at high school gigs at Ellis Robins and Mabelreighn Girls High with his crew.
After High School, he moved to South Africa where he worked with numerous artists from Pretoria and Cape Town doing ciphers and sharpening the craft. He made a lot of music at that time and passed it around and this actually helped some artists to get started.
In 2009, he started focusing on making his first thorough demo / mixtape but that fizzled out as his songs kept being misplaced at a studio. This made him to buy his own equipment and started making music from home. In 2010, he made his mixtape was well-received. In 2012, he released ‘Good Friday’ together with his cousin Kobby. Since then, Two Silk has been perfecting both his crafts and dropped his last project ‘Duckets’ in September 2014.
His single ‘Fungisai’ did well on StarFM. In May 2015, he released another music project titled ‘Glory: The Mixtape’. Some of his songs include ‘Hood to Hood Cypher’, ‘Prezha’, ‘Double or Nothing and many others.
