South African singer Zee Nxumalo has been included in the latest Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list, recognising her growing influence in the music and entertainment industries.
The 23-year-old artist has gained prominence through a series of commercially successful releases and brand partnerships, establishing herself as one of the country's most visible young performers.
Nxumalo’s catalogue includes songs such as ‘Mamma’, ‘Awe Mah’, ‘Ngisakuthanda’, ‘Guqa’, ‘Thula Mabota’ and ‘Funk 55’, which have contributed to her popularity on radio and streaming platforms. According to information released alongside the announcement, her music has accumulated more than 300 million streams.
The recognition comes during a period of continued commercial success for the artist. Her single ‘Ngisakuthanda’ has achieved triple-platinum certification, while Mamma has been certified double platinum and ‘Thula Mabota’ has received platinum certification.
Beyond music, Nxumalo has secured endorsement and partnership agreements with several major brands, including NIVEA, PUMA, KFC, McDonald's, Heineken and Nickelodeon.
She has also built a substantial social media following, with her combined audience across platforms reported to exceed five million followers.
